OJC will email you an information sheet of items to watch out for and questions to ask. At times, townhomes advertised by brokers and through other external means provide incomplete or misleading information regarding important matters such as the Homeowners' Association monthly fees, clubhouse/pool access, and what may included in the purchase of a townhome. As an example, there is a current offering through an external service that may not include certain crucial rights (such as ownership of the land under the townhome being offered) but does not alert the possible purchaser to this. Nor does the offering appear to disclose the major repairs needed to the unit. Please ensure that you are fully informed of the facts before choosing to make an offer or bid through a service or broker, and that you have competent legal representation to make sure you are in fact buying what you think you are.
